Tech Tip

of the Month!

  TipDigitally Declutter from DAY 1!

Start your year with an organizational process in place for digital files.

In Google Drive:

  1. Make and use folders to organize

  2. Add shortcuts from “Shared with Me” to your Drive for easy access

  3. Change the view from List View < > Tile View depending on what you need

In Gmail:

  1. Use the Archive function to hide emails you don’t need to see in your inbox (they are still searchable)

  2. Use Labels and Filters to organize your incoming emails

PLEASEMake sure to archive your Google Classrooms from last year!

  • Not only does this clean up your Google Classroom page, but it also makes those classrooms “disappear” for the kids.  This is especially important when kids have so many classes at higher levels!

  • You can always make a copy of your Google Classroom to act as a template

  • You can use the “reuse post” feature from classes that are archived!

Adobe Spark is no more… Welcome Adobe Express!

You may see the Adobe Express button when you are posting on Google Classroom.  Adobe has removed “Spark” from its lineup of tools and added “Express.”  This is the rebranded version of Spark that we (even students) have access to!  Make presentations, posters, slideshows, infographics, and more!  If you’re interested in playing with Express, you can log in here at express.adobe.com with your Google credentials.  Feel free to play around and learn what there is to do!  If you want more instruction, Adobe offers tutorials here:  https://www.adobe.com/express/learn/tutorials

Throwback to 2020!
